What is TGA Jr. Golf League?

TGA Junior Golf League opened for its first season in 2020 and has been growing rapidly ever since.  As an organization TGA Golf Academy has been introducing recreational & competitive golf to kids since 2018 and is proud to provide a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls ages 7-17 to learn and enjoy the the competitive side of golf in one of our leagues. Much like other recreational league sports, participants wear Polo Shirt "Jerseys" and play on teams with their friends. Find some fellow golfers / friends and join a team together!

How is TGA Jr. Golf League played?

During the course of one TGA Jr. League season, teams play six 9-hole matches in a group scramble format, reinforcing the team concept and creating a nurturing environment for learning the ins and outs of the game.

The 1st half of practice, players can expect to work in small groups of 4 or 5.  Coaches will rotate groups through various drills covering basic fundamentals as well as advanced techniques for the following skills: putting, chipping, full swing mechanics, physical fitness, swing speed, and more depending on the week.  

The 2nd half of practice players will take their game out on the course and for specific skill progression and course management.  Each hole is used to hone in a different skill working in their small group with their coach.  They will typically work on scoring techniques and mechanics navigating the course and learning how to improve their play for the upcoming match.
